A father to the fatherless . . . God sets the lonely in families. Psalm 68:5, 6
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27)
Our Vision:
We envision children set in forever families, where they experience love, healing, and stability in the name of Jesus Christ.
Our Mission:
Sangre de Cristo Adoption Ministry includes the body of Christ in recruiting, supporting, inspiring, and affirming those involved in adoption. Families and friends come together through prayer, training, group meetings, relationships, activities, and events.
Welcome to Sangre de Cristo Adoption Ministry!
Thanks for stopping in to visit us! Perhaps you have a connection with adoption, or you have a heart for adoption, or maybe you're just curious to know what this is all about. Whether you're an adoptive or foster parent, a parent of birth children, a family or church member, a friend, an adoptee or sibling, or none of these, there's a place for you here!
We believe that each of us has been called by God to minister. In James 1:27, He specifically charges us to take care of orphans. We believe this charge is not an option-we either take a child into our home, or we support those who do. Sangre de Cristo Adoption Ministry is here to serve the neighboring regions through the body of Christ.
Our ministry includes a support group, education and trainings, parent and family activities and outings, and more. Watch the Calendar link for scheduled items.
We invite you to become a part of our ministry family. You don't need any special skills-just a desire to be part of making a difference in the lives of children and families. Join us today!
Blessings,
Mark & Michelle Pedigo Ministry Coordinators (303) 870-7162

Books & Movies:
- The One Factor by Doug Sauder (President of 4KIDS of South Florida)
- "How could you not want to help a child who is suffering because of the sins of others? But too often enthusiasm dwindles because these kids need more than charity. They need us."
- Small Town, Big Miracle by Bishop WC Martin (Pastor, Bennett Chapel, Center, TX)
- Small Town, Big Miracle is the heart-warming story of the members of Bennett Chapel who have adopted 72 children from the foster care system in East Texas. The people of Possum Trot may not be materially wealthy, but they are rich in love and compassion. This eloquent story of how they opened their hearts to more than seventy children touched and blessed me. Bishop Martin and his wife, Donna, have inspired me. My fervent hope is that the book will inspire and guide a movement of compassion in America to provide for the least among us. --Tom Atwood, CEO of National Council for Adoption
- When a Child Becomes The Four Year Old Parent by Shane Salter
- "It's so crucial that all children get from us what we know they will need to give to their children someday. . . . Give them a safe place to call home, and they will make sure theirs is a safe place to call home. Show them that no matter how dark the moment, how powerful the enemy, "Trouble Don't Last Always," and they will be rooted in the knowledge that tomorrow is a new beginning and is worth living for."
- (This book is the author's story of growing up in the foster care system. It is his story of how, with all odds against him, the four-year-old parent survived and emerged more determined than ever to succeed, give back and nurture other children. Salter is the founder of CASA for Children of DC.)
- "Antwone Fisher" the movie inspired by his life story
- Finding Fish by Antwone Fisher (autobiography)A miraculous story of one courageous man's journey from abandonment and abuse to extraordinary success.(Antwone Fisher is a producer and screenwriter working in Hollywood.)
