Q. Are you an ordained pastor? Are you under the authority of a church?
A. Yes I am a pastor. My church pastor and home is Dan Dovido of Westcliffe Community Church of Westcliffe CO.
Q. Is this Psychological counseling?
A. This is biblical counseling for the heart, where pain is and where sin begins. I want us to understand from our heads enough to get to the heart for healing.
Q. How do I get started?
A. To save many hours of talking to get to know each other I will set up a confidential online BCPE test. You can take this test from your own home if you have a computer and Internet. Then at the same time I
will give you dates that I have open to meet. I am usually not more than 5-6 months behind. Once we have met in counsel I will help you recenter if you get off track as much as is needed until the skills are developed.
Q. How do you go about counseling? How much time will it take?
A. I want to spend 4 full days, both morning and afternoon with a couple and have them stay at a location away from their world, interruptions, and just emotionally grow back together. Individuals will require 3 full days.
Q. What are your fees? Or how do you get paid?
A. This an awkward subject, I do not have any fees but I want to handle it with the utmost care for both my family and all clients. This ministry is my full time work. I want to continue to counsel the rest of
my life, God willing I love what I do. I have some support from our church. Some clients from the past give monthly, bimonthly, sporadically, or yearly. I do not ever want to leave any one without help, nor do I ever want to look to the clients as to what they can give. It is most refreshing to take all my needs to the Lord and then let Him prompt, as He wants. Thank you for your understanding and concern in this matter.
Q. What is the best way to communicate with you as a counselor?
A. E- mail works best for me for initiation, minor issues and general questions. To set up a time to talk about deeper issues it is best to e-mail for a time that we can then work by phone or in person.
