Westcliffe Community Church
Core Values
Spirit and Word. “…speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of His grace by enabling them to do miraculous signs and wonders.” We value and follow both the authoritative Word of God in Scripture and the current voice of the Holy Spirit speaking to the church.
Connecting with God: “That they may know You, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” Jesus Christ restores our lost connection to God enabling us to build a vital relationship with God through worship, prayer and service.
Building Authentic Community: “All the believers were one in heart and mind.” We want you to experience real relationship, as we build genuine connections with God and with others, as the primary setting God uses for spiritual growth and health.
Connecting the Generations: “He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children.” We desire to demonstrate unity that crosses generational boundaries, increasing our strength and wisdom as we partner in ministry.

- We believe the Holy Bible was given by inspiration of God as the writers were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of God, and that these scriptures are the only rule of faith and practice (2Tim. 3:16; 2Pet. 1:20,21).
- We believe in the one true God, manifested in three distinct persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost; distinguishable but indivisible (Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:21,22)
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, very God and very man (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1,14,18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6)
- We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Christ upon the cross by which we obtain the remission of sins through His shed blood )Eph. 2:8, 9; Heb. 9:12-14; Rom. 5:11)
- We believe that Jesus Christ was crucified, died, was buried and rose again in bodily form on the third day and that He ascended to His Father in heaven and will physically return for His church (1Cor. 15:1-8; Rom. 4:25)
- We believe in the resurrection of the dead, eternal judgment, and life everlasting (John 3:15; 5:24-27; Mark 9:43-48; 2Thess. 1:9; Rev. 20:11-15

History of Westcliffe Community Church Westcliffe Community Church began as a house church on Easter Sunday morning in April of 1998. The small group met in a home for several years with Dan Dovidio serving as the pastor. In 2003 the congregation moved to their first rented space on Main Street. As the congregation continued to grow, the church moved again in November of 2004, to a larger rented building on Second Street in Westcliffe. In the early years the church had a strong emphasis on prayer and a vision to reach the small mountain community of Westcliffe one individual at a time.
